Suffolk Police Search for Missing Huntington Man Last Seen at Breezy Park
Justin Rodriguez, 30, disappeared on foot near Huntington's Breezy Park at 11:40 p.m. Sunday and hasn't been found; call 631-854-8252 with tips.

Justin Rodriguez, 30, left his Sherwood Drive home in Huntington at approximately 11:40 p.m. Sunday and was last seen moments later near Breezy Park, an 11-acre Town of Huntington facility tucked at the northwest corner of West Rogues Path and Oakwood Road. He was reported missing the following morning, and Second Squad detectives are now asking the public for any information that could help locate him.
Rodriguez is described as a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds, with brown eyes, brown balding hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker jacket with a gold Nike symbol, charcoal gray pants, and dark sneakers. No vehicle was associated with his disappearance.
Breezy Park's synthetic athletic fields, playground, and practice areas sit at the edge of the Froehlich preserve, a stretch of open land connected to a broader trail network. The park borders residential streets that fan off Oakwood Road, and the area would have been largely deserted well before midnight Sunday.
Call 911 immediately if Rodriguez is spotted. For non-emergency tips, Second Squad detectives can be reached at 631-854-8252. Anonymous information can be submitted to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, through the P3 Tips mobile app, or online at P3Tips.com.
When adults are reported missing in Suffolk County, investigators typically pursue several parallel tracks: K-9 units work scent trails from a subject's last-known position, the SCPD Aviation Unit can deploy helicopters equipped with infrared cameras to cover dark terrain, and welfare checks go out to area hospitals and shelters. Because Rodriguez had no vehicle, the initial search is anchored closely to the Breezy Park area and the streets branching off West Rogues Path.
For neighbors who want to help, the most actionable step is filing a specific tip: a time, a location, a direction of travel. Well-intentioned but uncoordinated search parties in wooded areas near the park can disrupt K-9 scent work and complicate the detective response. Sharing Rodriguez's description and clothing details on social media is encouraged; routing concrete sightings through official channels is more critical still.
Rodriguez remained missing as of Tuesday. The Second Squad can be reached at 631-854-8252. Anonymous tips go to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, via the P3 Tips mobile app, or at P3Tips.com.
