Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers asked for the public’s help identifying a woman accused of harassing a 10-year-old boy at Urban Air Adventure Park in Dix Hills.

Police said the incident happened March 20 at about 9:20 a.m. at the indoor amusement venue at 683A Old Country Rd. The public appeal was issued May 12, as investigators looked for a name and any additional information that could help advance the case.

The setting made the complaint especially notable in Suffolk County. Urban Air’s Dix Hills location opened in spring 2023 and took over about 30,000 square feet in a former Pathmark store site in the Town of Huntington. It is marketed as a year-round indoor amusement space for families, a detail that put the alleged encounter in a place where parents expect close oversight and a strong measure of child safety.

Because the reported incident happened inside a large commercial recreation space, surveillance video and witness accounts could be important to investigators. Anyone who was at the business around the time of the reported harassment, or who recognizes the woman police sought, could help identify her and move the case forward.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, through the P3 Tips app, or online. The county said Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

News 12 Long Island later reported that Suffolk County police said no charges were pursued after the investigation. Even so, the public alert underscored how quickly a routine family outing at a popular Dix Hills attraction can turn into a police matter, and how seriously authorities treat complaints involving children in spaces built for recreation.
