Dominick Tullon, an 18-year-old Coram resident, was arrested the night of March 22 after Suffolk County Police say he drew a handgun and fired four shots during an argument outside an apartment building at 24 Country Club Drive in Coram, striking a 38-year-old man who was rushed to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The confrontation unfolded at approximately 8:40 p.m., when a group of men engaged in a dispute outside the building. According to police, Tullon pulled the weapon and discharged it four times during the altercation. One round struck the victim, who was transported for treatment. Sixth Precinct Patrol officers canvassed the surrounding area and placed Tullon in custody just after 9 p.m., less than 20 minutes after the shooting.

Sixth Squad detectives charged Tullon with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 23.

The victim's identity has not been released by authorities.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
