County Commissioners Review Repairs, Health and Emergency Matters

The Board of County Commissioners convened at 10 a.m. on December 15 in the Commissioner’s Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Texas County Courthouse. The meeting began with routine roll call and verification of compliance with the Open Meeting Act, followed by standard business to approve or disapprove claims, purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, minutes and monthly appropriations and transfers.

Among operational items on the posted agenda were a report from the Emergency Management Director and the officers report for the Texas County Health Department for November. The Board also listed infrastructure and maintenance items that have immediate local implications. Those items included approval or disapproval of a quote to finish the south wall of the Annex building to match the rest of the building, consideration of Ted's plumbing estimate to find and repair a leak under the concrete in the east parking lot, and an Otis Service and Repair Order. Any work approved could affect access to county offices and parking patterns near the courthouse while repairs are completed.
