Memorial Hospital of Texas County Schedules Board of Trustees Meeting for March 24
Guymon's county-owned critical-access hospital posted a Board of Trustees meeting for March 24, with CEO Tracy Johnson recently elevated to a statewide health foundation board.
The Memorial Hospital of Texas County Authority posted a Board of Trustees meeting on its official website for March 24, 2026, listed under the hospital's "Board of Trustees / Meetings & Agendas" page. The notice marks another public step in the governance of Guymon's sole critical-access hospital, a county-owned, non-profit facility licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Health that operates as a 25-bed level IV hospital serving Texas County and surrounding counties across the Oklahoma Panhandle.
The meeting comes as the hospital's leadership profile has grown beyond the Panhandle. In January, MHTCA announced that CEO Tracy Johnson was nominated and unanimously approved to serve as a board member of the Foundation for a Healthy Oklahoma, a statewide organization that works alongside hospitals and healthcare stakeholders to strengthen public and population health across Oklahoma. Johnson previously held leadership roles at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas, Capefear Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt, Kansas, and in her CEO role has focused on driving innovation and steering the hospital toward long-term success.
Board Chairman Spencer Leiter framed her statewide appointment as a natural extension of her record in Guymon. "Tracy's extensive experience, proven track record in healthcare leadership, and previous contributions to MHTCA make her the ideal choice for this role," Leiter said. "We are thrilled to welcome her back and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our organization and the community we serve."

The board's recent history also includes a direct push to shore up the hospital's physical infrastructure. In June 2024, MHTCA and the Guymon Community Enrichment Foundation jointly launched the Memorial Hospital of Texas County Improvement Fund, described at the time as designed to "facilitate much-needed donations aimed at stabilizing and improving our hospital facilities, directly benefiting our community." The partnership with the Guymon Community Enrichment Foundation reflected a strategy of tying local philanthropy to capital needs at a hospital that has navigated recurring financial pressures in recent years.
Memorial Hospital of Texas County is located at 520 Medical Drive in Guymon, and meeting notices, agendas, and related governance documents are posted on the hospital's official website at mhtcguymon.org under the Board of Trustees section.
