Texas County offers early voting June 11-13 for June 16 election

Texas County voters who want to avoid Election Day lines can vote early June 11-13 at the Courthouse Annex in Guymon, with the fastest option on Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The no-excuse in-person absentee window gives workers, rural residents and anyone trying to sidestep long waits on June 16 a limited chance to cast a ballot before polls open.

Early voting will be held at the Texas County Election Board, 301 N Main St, Courthouse Annex, Guymon, OK 73942. Hours are Thursday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Texas County Election Board says it maintains voter registration records and conducts federal, state, county, municipal and school district elections in the county. Margo Thompson serves as secretary, with Teresa Cozby listed as assistant secretary. The office also says it provides public information on election-related activities and has forms and information available in English and Spanish.

The June 16 ballot will include statewide offices, along with county races for county treasurer, county assessor and county commissioner districts 1 and 3. State Question 832 will also appear on the ballot. Some counties may have additional special elections for county commissioner district 2, county clerk, court clerk or sheriff, depending on local filings.

Voters who want to check their ballot or confirm where to vote on June 16 can use the OK Voter Portal for sample ballots and polling locations, and Texas County voters are directed to the county election board for county-specific information. Guymon’s city website also lists the election board office at the Courthouse Annex and notes weekday office hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several polling places in Guymon are listed there, including the Church of Latter-day Saints, PTCI Conference Room, Texas County Activity Center, First Christian Church and First Baptist Church.

The voter registration deadline for the June 16 election was May 22, leaving early voting as the most direct option for registered Texas County voters who want to get in before the June 16 rush.
