La Grande Middle School Team Wins Regional Title, Advances to State Championship
La Grande Middle School's "Projekt Winners" claimed the OBOB regional title in Baker City, earning a spot at the state championship in Salem next month.

The "Projekt Winners" are headed to Salem.
La Grande Middle School's Oregon Battle of the Books team claimed the regional championship in Baker City on Saturday, March 7, earning a berth in the OBOB State Championship scheduled for April 11 in the state capital.
Oregon Battle of the Books is a statewide reading competition in which student teams answer questions about a set list of books, testing both comprehension and close reading across a bracket-style tournament format. Reaching the state level requires outlasting competing schools from across the region, and the Projekt Winners did exactly that, advancing out of the Baker City regional to represent La Grande on the biggest stage the program offers.
The state championship on April 11 will bring together regional winners from across Oregon, with La Grande Middle School competing against top teams from throughout the state.
