Emergency Water-Main Repair Closes Lane on Route 15 in Lewisburg
Pennsylvania American Water restricted Route 15 northbound's right lane in Lewisburg Friday for an emergency water-main repair between Buffalo Road and North Fourth Street.

Pennsylvania American Water crews closed the right driving lane on Route 15 northbound in the Borough of Lewisburg on Friday while repairing an emergency water main along a stretch of highway running between Buffalo Road and North Fourth Street.
The work ran from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with traffic shifted into the left and center lanes for the duration, according to PennDOT. Buffalo Road, which intersects Route 15 at the southern boundary of the affected segment, also carries the Route 192 designation.
PennDOT issued a traffic advisory warning motorists to reduce speed, remain alert for changing traffic patterns, and allow extra time for the commute through the affected corridor. The right lane restriction created lane-shift conditions that PennDOT cautioned could slow travel through the area.

Pennsylvania American Water handled the repair, with PennDOT involved in coordinating the traffic advisory and lane management. No information was released about the cause of the water main failure, the number of customers affected by any service interruption, or whether the repair concluded on schedule by the 3 p.m. target.
