Lewisburg Borough Sets Virtual Safety Action Plan Meeting for March 26

Lewisburg Borough has scheduled the third and latest public meeting in its Safety Action Plan process as a one-hour virtual session on Thursday, March 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., giving residents another opportunity to weigh in on a planning effort aimed at improving transportation safety across the borough.

The Safety Action Plan is funded by a Safe Streets and Roads for All planning grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. According to the borough, when completed, the plan "will help to improve safety for all modes of transportation by identifying needs within the network and appropriate countermeasures, and guiding transportation safety investments for the next several years."

The March 26 session is the third public engagement phase following two earlier rounds of community input. Phase 1, which included a public survey, a Public Open House, and online engagement, has been completed, with results posted on the borough's project page. Phase 2 launched on May 21, 2025, with a Public Open House held that evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lewisburg Hotel. That session focused on reviewing draft proposed recommendations, fielding questions from the project team, and gathering public comment to help prioritize proposed projects. Residents who could not attend in person were directed to an introductory presentation, information boards, a Miro-based comment box, and a project prioritization exercise posted online.
