UPMC Primary Care Lewisburg Welcomes Pediatrician Mary Beth O'Hara
A Susquehanna Valley native returns home: Dr. Mary Beth O'Hara joins UPMC Primary Care in Lewisburg after closing her own practice.

A Susquehanna Valley native who built her own pediatric practice in Lewisburg has come full circle, joining the UPMC Primary Care team at 2370 Old Turnpike Road after closing Ideal Pediatric & Adolescent Care, P.C. effective January 31, 2026.
Mary Beth O'Hara, D.O., F.A.A.P., is now seeing patients as the newest pediatrician on the UPMC Primary Care team in Lewisburg, expanding the practice's capacity to serve children and families across the Susquehanna Valley. She earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville. She is a fellow and board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
On the Ideal Pediatric website, Dr. O'Hara addressed her departing patients directly: "After careful consideration, Ideal Pediatric & Adolescent Care, P.C. will permanently close effective January 31, 2026. It has been a privilege to care for your child and family, and I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me over the years."

Families who were patients at Ideal Pediatric, located at 121 JPM Road in Lewisburg, have been notified about the transition. "Families have or will receive a detailed letter by mail with additional information regarding continuity of care and medical records," the practice stated on its website.
