Del Rio Border Patrol Union Moves March Membership Meeting to Ramada Inn

Storm damage at the Local 2366 union office has pushed the Del Rio Border Patrol union's March membership meeting to a new address. National Border Patrol Council Local 2366 announced that its Tuesday, March 17 gathering, set for 6:00 p.m., will be held at the Ramada Inn at 2101 Veterans Blvd rather than the union's usual home at 801 Kings Way.

The union's posted notice cited the reason directly: "Due to an emergency at the union office during recent storms, the meeting has been moved to the Ramada Inn (at the same time) located at: 2101 Veterans Blvd Del Rio, Texas 78840." The notice struck through the Kings Way address to make the change unmistakable. No further details about the nature or extent of the damage were provided.

The primary agenda item for the March 17 session is formal notice of two upcoming national union events. According to the posted notice, "the designated delegates will represent Local 2366 at the NBPC National Convention set to take place in April 2026, and the AFGE District 10 Caucus set to take place on or about May 2026." Members should be aware that neither event qualifies for official agency time. The notice states explicitly that "the NBPC National Convention and AFGE District 10 Caucus are considered internal union business, and official time to travel to and from these events, or to attend these events, is not authorized. As a result, delegates attend and travel to/from these events on days off or annual leave."

The March meeting is the third Local 2366 membership gathering posted on the union's site in recent months. The December 17, 2025 meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. at 801 Kings Way and included a technical advisory for members who had trouble accessing the SharePoint site through the app on their TAK phones, directing them to use a regular web browser instead. Before that, the August 27, 2025 meeting at the same Kings Way location covered a broad slate of workforce issues: rehired annuitants, the National Job Swap Program, nominations, retention bonuses, FEPA overtime rules, and disciplinary process changes.

The National Job Swap Program, introduced at the August session, remained unfinished as of the December meeting. The union posted partial framework language, including headings for eligibility and restrictions, along with a note that "we will send out more information as soon as HQ finishes putting the final touches on the policy."
