Belen to host free All American Celebration at Eagle Park

Families looking for a no-cost holiday weekend outing in Valencia County will have one at Eagle Park, where Belen will stage its All American Celebration on Saturday, June 27, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The city is billing the event as a free public gathering, with costs limited to whatever attendees choose to buy from food trucks and vendors.

The evening will open with Black Pearl Band from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by headliner Al Hurricane Jr. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The city’s official listing identifies Hurricane as one of New Mexico’s best-known performers, making him the marquee draw for a celebration built around live music, family activities and a holiday-weekend crowd. A drone show is scheduled for 9 p.m., followed immediately by fireworks.

The celebration will stretch beyond the stage. Belen’s lineup includes food trucks, vendors, a car show, jumpers, an obstacle course, face painting, a dance floor and other family-friendly activities. The city says traffic may enter Eagle Park through either Delgado Road or Christopher Road, an important detail for anyone planning to arrive near the start of the event or come in closer to the drone show.

Attendees are being asked to bring blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas for shade. The city says the best viewing area for the drone show will be the large soccer field, with overflow viewing available on the lower field near the vendors. Belen Parks and Recreation says it works with other organizations to provide “new, fun, safe, and organized programs and events for all ages,” and the June 27 celebration fits that model closely.

The setup also gives local organizations and small businesses a direct lane into one of Belen’s biggest summer gatherings. Vendors or organizations interested in tabling are being directed to the Belen Art League at 505-463-3688, and food trucks interested in attending should call 505-966-2700. With the drone show, fireworks, live music and a full slate of activities in one park, the event is designed to keep people on site through the evening and put a steady stream of families, customers and visitors in the middle of Eagle Park.

The celebration comes after Belen highlighted improvements at Eagle Park and the Eagle’s Nest Skatepark in February, saying the work was supported in part by state funding and a New Mexico Quality of Life Recreation Grant. It also follows Belen’s 2025 All American Celebration at the same park, where the city packed in live music, vendors, games and fireworks around 9 p.m. For Belen, the 2026 edition will again turn Eagle Park into a free, full-scale public holiday centerpiece.
