The Valencia County Resource Center at 129 S. Third St. in Belen operates as a neighborhood hub for people facing immediate needs, offering food, clothing, showers and help obtaining vital documents. Staff and partner organizations report the center handles roughly 500 visits a month, a pace that translates to about 6,000 client contacts a year and underscores demand for low-barrier social services in Valencia County.

Operated through partnerships with H2 Academic Solutions and the Community Resource Fund, the center intentionally reduces administrative hurdles. There are no income checks or ID requirements to receive basic services, and staff describe the center as "a place for everyone with a need." Case managers work with clients on referrals for housing and mental-health services, help secure birth certificates and state IDs, and link people to benefit programs that help maintain housing stability.

Beyond immediate supplies, the center coordinates donated furniture, emergency rental assistance and transportation to medical appointments or court hearings.
