Cary SWAT Team Arrests Man Accused of Violating Domestic Violence Order
At least six SWAT members emerged from a Transom View Way home Tuesday evening after Cary police arrested Todd Michael Hallerman, 53, on a domestic violence order violation.

At least six SWAT officers streamed out of a residence on the 700 block of Transom View Way on Tuesday evening after Cary police executed an arrest warrant tied to an alleged domestic violence protection order violation, ending with a 53-year-old man in handcuffs.
According to the Cary Police Department, SWAT team officers responded around 6:45 p.m. on March 10 to the Transom View Way address as part of a targeted operation to locate and serve the warrant. Multiple Cary police vehicles and a SWAT team truck lined the street outside the home during the operation.
Aerial footage captured by WRAL's Sky 5 showed the heavy police presence and recorded the moment officers placed one man in the back of a cruiser in handcuffs. Police identified that man as Todd Michael Hallerman, 53, who was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order.

Following his arrest, Hallerman was transported to the Wake County Detention Center.
The deployment of SWAT resources to serve what is typically a standard arrest warrant reflects how seriously law enforcement can treat alleged violations of protective orders, particularly when officers assess a situation as posing elevated risk. No details about the specific nature of the alleged violation, whether additional charges were filed, or whether any weapons were recovered were released by the department as of this report.
