Jubala Coffee will open its fifth cafe in the Main District of North Hills, between Alo Yoga and jewelry store Gorjana. Kane Realty confirmed the expansion on Instagram, announcing the new café will sit at the base of 4114 Center, giving the Raleigh-born roaster its second foothold at the Midtown development.

The addition will make the Main District fully leased. The new spot joins Jubala's existing Park District cafe at 200 Park at North Hills St., Suite 140, which has anchored the shopping center's ground-level dining corridor since opening in 2021.

Founder Andrew Cash framed the move as a natural extension of an already strong relationship with the North Hills community. "North Hills has been an incredible community for Jubala," Cash said in a press release. "The support we've received has been amazing, and we're excited to create another space where people can gather over great coffee. Being in the Main District puts us right in the middle of so much energy, and we're thrilled to be part of it."

Jubala Coffee is owned and operated by Raleigh local Andrew Cash, who opened the first Jubala location in Lafayette Village in 2011. That original cafe, at the corner of Falls of Neuse and Honeycutt Road in North Raleigh, grew out of Cash's commitment to direct-trade sourcing. Jubala is now roasting out of its North Hills location, having decided after 14 years working alongside Counter Culture Coffee and Black and White Coffee that roasting in-house was its most sustainable path forward.

The company currently lists four active cafes: Lafayette, NCSU BellTower, North Hills, and Downtown. The Main District opening will bring that count to five. No opening date has been announced.

Beyond coffee, the North Hills locations are known for bar seating, an enhanced food menu, and weekend brunch, with Cash having specifically sought a space where Jubala could be fully engaged with both customers and its supply chain. Jubala won the 2024 Raleigh coffee shop bracket, drawing praise for its seasonal drinks, drop biscuit sandwiches, waffles, and chic cafes.

Cash's ownership group has also expanded beyond coffee: Jubala Coffee is owned and operated by Raleigh local Andrew Cash, and according to a CBRE announcement tied to a separate downtown expansion in December 2024, Jubala's ownership also runs Benchwarmers Bagels and Bright Spot Donuts.

The Main District location, still without a confirmed opening date, will complete one of Midtown Raleigh's most closely watched retail corridors, filling the last available space in a district that has steadily drawn local and national tenants since Kane Realty began developing it.
