Vic's Italian Restaurant Opens North Raleigh Location With Drive-Thru at Six Forks

Vic's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria is bringing its pizza and pasta to Colony Shopping Center at 5434 Six Forks Road, taking over a former KFC and Taco Bell footprint at the corner of Six Forks and Millbrook roads in north Raleigh.

Owner Mario Longo Jr. told The News & Observer the expansion came directly from customer demand. "It's at the request of customers," he said, adding that he's excited to bring the restaurant to a new part of town. The owners plan to open in roughly three months, placing a tentative opening around mid-June 2026, though no exact date has been confirmed.

Because the building already served as a restaurant, the renovation scope is limited. "Construction work will include adding some new pieces of equipment and cosmetic changes such as new paint, new furniture and signs," Longo Jr. said. The space will seat about 40 to 50 diners inside.

The drive-thru, a fixture of the site's fast-food past, is staying. Vic's plans to use it exclusively for third-party delivery pickups and takeout orders rather than traditional drive-thru service. The location will also offer catering. Longo Jr. said the initial model will be counter-service, where customers order at the front, though he left open the possibility of evolving into a full-service restaurant with a host, seated dining, and table service down the line.

Colony Shopping Center is anchored by a Food Lion, giving the Italian newcomer a high-traffic grocery neighbor at one of north Raleigh's busy commercial corridors.

The Six Forks Road location would become the third address operating under the Vic's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria name. The brand currently runs a City Market location in downtown Raleigh and a second spot on Lake Boone Trail. Longo Jr.'s brother, Michael Longo, separately operates Vic's Pizzeria on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh, a related but distinct operation.
