Wake County gathered feedback from residents of the 10,890-acre Neuse North study area at an interactive community meeting March 12, drawing on public input to shape land use, agriculture, and water quality policy for a corridor that stretches between Wake Forest and Rolesville to the Franklin County line.

The meeting, held at the Raleigh Family Moose Center at 2824 Forestville Road in Wake Forest from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m., placed roughly 8,000 Neuse North residents in direct conversation with representatives from Wake County Planning and other county departments. Staff were on hand to discuss development priorities alongside the three core topic areas of land use, agriculture, and water quality.

"Community voices are essential to shaping Neuse North over the next decade," said Wake County Commissioner Cheryl Stallings. "We've heard thoughtful feedback about traffic, rural preservation and future development, and this meeting gives residents another opportunity to share what matters most to them. We encourage everyone to join the conversation and help guide the future of their community."

The session is part of PLANWake, Wake County's comprehensive plan guiding growth over the next decade. Neuse North represents the sixth of seven focus areas in that framework, following completed plans for Lower Swift Creek, Middle Creek, Lower Neuse, Western Wake, and Eastern Wake. With five area plans already approved, the Neuse North process marks one of the final opportunities for community input before the county completes its full planning cycle.

Residents who could not attend the March 12 session can still submit questions or comments by emailing areaplan@wake.gov or calling 919-856-6310, option 8.
