Somerton and Yuma Host Joint Flu, COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign
Sunset Health is running flu and COVID-19 vaccinations across five Yuma County clinics; call 928.819.8999 to book.

Somerton and Yuma are holding a joint vaccination jornada against influenza and COVID-19, with Sunset Health providing shots and testing across five clinic locations stretching from Wellton to San Luis.
Sunset Health's clinic at 815 E. Cesar Chavez Blvd. in San Luis is the most accessible entry point, accepting patients Monday through Friday all day without an appointment requirement. Every other location in the network requires advance scheduling: the Somerton clinic at 115 N. Somerton Ave., the North Yuma clinic at 675 S. Avenue B., and the main Yuma location at 2060 W. 24th St. are all appointment-only, as is the Wellton clinic at 10425 William St. To book at any site, call Sunset Health at 928.819.8999.
COVID-19 testing runs on a narrow morning window at most locations. The San Luis, Somerton, North Yuma, and main Yuma clinics all offer testing Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Wellton testing is by appointment only. The CDC guidance posted by Sunset Health is direct: anyone showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested regardless of vaccination status or prior infection, and those who test because of symptoms or a potential exposure should isolate from others while awaiting results.
The campaign is being promoted by Tribuna de San Luis, which is encouraging community participation in the initiative. The Sunset Health materials confirmed COVID-19 vaccine and booster availability at all five sites; those seeking influenza vaccination as part of the jornada should confirm flu shot availability and scheduling when they call 928.819.8999, as influenza-specific schedules were not separately listed in Sunset Health's published clinic information.
