Butterfield Park will trade its usual quiet for lawn chairs and popcorn on Friday, March 20, when the Town of Wellton hosts a free outdoor screening of "The Cyclist" beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The event, announced by the town on March 4, is open to residents and visitors at no cost. Butterfield Park sits at 10234 Dome St in Wellton, and the town is encouraging attendees to arrive early to secure a good spot on the grass. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended for the outdoor setting.
"The Cyclist" carries a PG-13 rating, meaning parents may want to consider the content for younger children before attending. The film is the centerpiece of the town's ongoing Movie in the Park series, which brings community members together under the open desert sky.
National Bank of Arizona is sponsoring the event. The town's announcement specifically credited the bank for "helping bring family fun to our community," making the free admission possible for what the town describes as a fun-filled community night.
