Yuma Art Center Stages Dinner Theater Production of The Mousetrap
The City of Yuma Arts and Culture Division will present a dinner theater production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap at the Yuma Art Center on Feb. 5–8 and Feb. 12–14. Tickets are $40 and include dinner and dessert, offering residents an evening of live theater that supports local performers and downtown small business vendors.

The City of Yuma’s Arts and Culture Division announced that the Yuma Art Center will host a dinner theater run of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, billed as the world’s longest-running play, with performances on February 5–8 and February 12–14 at 254 S. Main Street. Doors will open at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and the curtain will rise at 7 p.m.; dessert is scheduled during a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $40 and include both dinner and dessert.
Set in the English countryside, The Mousetrap follows a group of strangers snowed in at a remote guesthouse when a murder occurs, and the story’s tension comes from the idea that every character is a suspect. The local production is directed by Fellow Daniela Ayala and features Jacqueline Garza as Mollie Ralston and Jose Ramos as Giles Ralston, joined by other local performers. Catering for all performances will be provided by A Cut Above with Chef Jonathan Palacio preparing the evening’s menu.
For Yuma audiences, the dinner theater format combines cultural programming with a direct economic benefit to downtown vendors and performing artists. At $40 per ticket, the event creates a straightforward revenue stream for the Art Center and its partners while keeping admission accessible relative to many regional theater and dining options. By employing local cast and a city-contracted caterer, the run is likely to concentrate spending within Yuma’s hospitality and arts sectors during the two weekends.
The Yuma Art Center production also contributes to community arts engagement at a time when local programming helps attract regular foot traffic to Main Street. Residents attending the show can expect a full evening experience that supports local talent and businesses while bringing a classic mystery to a community stage. The format may appeal to families and theatergoers who value a combined dining and performance outing rather than a standalone play.
Tickets and additional information are available on the City of Yuma dinner theater page. The scheduled evenings aim to showcase local performing arts capability and provide downtown economic activity across seven performances in mid-February.
