Yuma County Alerts Residents After Level 2 Sex Offender Move
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office notified the public that 36 year old Jeffrey Edward O’Conner is residing at 13125 E. 51st Lane in Yuma and is classified as a Level 2 sex offender. The notification outlines his conviction, current supervision status, and ways residents can receive alerts, information that affects neighborhood safety and community awareness.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office issued a community notification on December 10, 2025 at 3:45 PM under Arizona law A.R.S. 13-3825 identifying Jeffrey Edward O’Conner as a Level 2 sex offender now living at 13125 E. 51st Lane, Yuma, Arizona 85367. O’Conner is 36 years old, is described as 6 feet 5 inches tall and 250 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is not wanted by the sheriff’s office at this time and is under the supervision of the Yuma Regional Parole Office.
Court records cited in the notice show that on August 5, 2020 O’Conner pleaded guilty to one count of Lewd Conduct with a minor child under sixteen years of age in the Madison County Seventh Judicial District Court of Rexburg, Idaho. He was sentenced to one year and eleven months in the Idaho State Penitentiary. The victim was a male juvenile known to him. The sheriff’s office classifies Level 2 offenders as presenting an intermediate risk to reoffend, which triggers community notification requirements when offenders return to or enter the county.
The release reiterates that notification is intended to inform the public, not to provoke fear, and that the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office lacks authority to direct where an offender may live unless a court order exists. The office warns that citizen misuse of the information to threaten, intimidate, or harass an offender will not be tolerated. The statement also reminds residents that sex offender information has been publicly shared since enactment of Megan’s law.
For residents concerned about local safety, the sheriff’s office points to the OffenderWatch registration system for free email alerts and searchable offender information via the YCSO OffenderWatch page. Community members with information about criminal activity involving this or any other offender are asked to call the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 783 4427. The public affairs contact for the release is Tania Pavlak at the same number.
The notification has implications for neighborhood awareness and public services. Level 2 supervision and parole monitoring are intended to reduce recidivism and support reintegration, but notifications can also affect community perceptions of safety and influence local decision making about schools and shared spaces. Residents are advised to use the official resources provided and report concerns to law enforcement so that supervision and community protections can be effectively maintained.
