111-Room Comfort Inn & Suites Opens Across From Orlando Sanford Airport

Comfort Inn & Suites Orlando Sanford Airport, a 111-room, four-story property owned by AirSan Investments LLC, officially opened in late February 2026 directly across from Orlando Sanford International Airport and begins serving airport passengers, sports teams and cruise travelers with a complimentary shuttle to the terminal. The Hickman family ownership entity developed the hotel to capture group and regional demand tied to the nearby Boombah Sports Complex and Go Port connections to Port Canaveral.

FK Architecture designed the property and Lamm & Company Partners developed and constructed the hotel in collaboration with ownership, using concrete plank construction as a sound mitigation measure appropriate for a facility adjacent to the airport. Public spaces emphasize natural light through large windows, durable flooring intended for high-volume travel days, and modern restrained lighting; the breakfast area is organized around an island-style layout to support steady morning flow.

On-site amenities include an oversized pool, a large cabana, and a BBQ grilling and seating area aimed at teams and family groups, plus dedicated meeting space suitable for small corporate sessions and team briefings. Guest services include a complimentary shuttle to the terminal, and the hotel positions itself to serve cruise passengers who connect via Go Port to Port Canaveral as well as visitors seeking access to downtown Sanford and the Lake Monroe waterfront.

AirSan Investments LLC identified a gap in local lodging for teams and groups tied to the Boombah Sports Complex; André Hickman, owner’s representative for AirSan Investments LLC, said, “The family decided to build the Comfort Inn & Suites to meet a need in the Sanford Airport and Boombah Sports Complex market. Prior to this new hotel, it was hard for sports teams and groups to find accommodations. This property was designed and constructed to give our guests a quiet, relaxing stay. Newport Hospitality Group manages the new Comfort Inn & Suites Orlando Sanford Airport and supported development and pre-opening efforts including purchasing, staffing, sales positioning and operational readiness. Newport already manages Comfort Inn & Suites Sanford North for the Hickman family, making this the second hotel partnership between AirSan Investments LLC and Newport Hospitality Group.
