22-Year-Old Charged With Murder After Allendale Tiger Express Shooting Kills Two

Two women were killed in a shooting at the Tiger Express convenience store in Allendale, and authorities have arrested 22-year-old Tyquaveon Isaiah Hartzog on murder charges. Law enforcement described the incident as a double homicide and said investigators from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are working with local police on the case.

Allendale County Coroner Renique Riley identified the victims as 25-year-old Parris Lee and 34-year-old Herrinda D. Murdaugh. Riley said Lee was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:55 p.m., and Murdaugh was pronounced dead at Allendale County Hospital at 10:06 p.m.

Police arrested Hartzog and charged him with two counts of murder and a weapons-related charge of possession of a weapon. Investigators were at the Tiger Express gathering evidence following the shooting, and SLED agents remained involved in the active investigation into what led to the deaths.

The shooting took place at the Tiger Express in Allendale; county and state investigators have not released further operational details about how the shooting unfolded or whether anyone else was injured. Allendale law enforcement has indicated the investigation is ongoing as detectives process the scene and review any available surveillance or witness information.

SLED’s involvement places the case under state-level investigative support alongside local police resources, and the arrest of Tyquaveon Isaiah Hartzog carries formal charges that will be handled through the county’s criminal process. Prosecutors and law enforcement officials have not yet released charging documents publicly beyond the counts announced.
