26-point Noah Enyeart posts school-record 22 rebounds as Lake Central wins 73-66

Noah Enyeart poured in 26 points, handed out five assists and hauled in a career-high, school-record 22 rebounds to lift Lake Central to a 73-66 victory at South Bend Washington on Monday, Feb. 24, 2026, improving the Indians to 11-10 overall. Eventlink identifies the 22-rebound performance as both a career high and a school record; MaxPreps also recorded Enyeart’s 26/22 double-double.

Lake Central built an early lead and held it through a tense fourth quarter. The quarter-by-quarter line from Eventlink read LC 16-19-20-18 = 73 and SBW 12-13-25-16 = 66, with South Bend Washington outscoring the visitors 25-20 in the third but Lake Central answering with an 18-16 fourth to close out the game.

Enyeart’s dominance on the glass keyed the win. Eventlink listed his full line as 26 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists, and MaxPreps noted this was the third consecutive game in which Enyeart scored at least one-third of Lake Central’s points. Eventlink also characterized Enyeart as having “led LC in all categories” in the game summary.

Guard Christian Martinez supplied a second scoring punch with 22 points; Eventlink specifically reported Martinez hit 4-of-6 from three-point range while MaxPreps described Martinez as shooting 73 percent from the field. Forward David Aguilera added 12 points while going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and handing out four assists, and Jakob Billmeyer contributed eight points, according to the Eventlink box-line.

Lake Central attacked the offensive glass throughout the night. MaxPreps recorded 14 offensive rebounds for the Indians — its most offensive boards since January of 2025 — a stat MaxPreps singled out as a major factor in the road victory. MaxPreps also noted Lake Central had rebounded from a blowout loss to Crown Point in its previous game.

The opponent’s season record is reported differently across sources: Eventlink lists South Bend Washington at 4-16 entering the contest, while MaxPreps lists the Panthers at 5-16 and says South Bend Washington had lost four of its last five matchups. Both Eventlink and MaxPreps agree Lake Central moved to 11-10 with the win.

Looking ahead, Eventlink reports Lake Central drew Hammond Morton in the IHSAA Sectional opener at Crown Point, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m., with the winner set to face Munster in the sectional semifinal on Friday. Eventlink and MaxPreps also list a remaining regular-season game at McCutcheon in Lafayette on Friday; MaxPreps gives a time of 6:30 p.m. for that matchup.
