Amazon and Google Launch Joint Multicloud Service to Speed Connections
Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud unveiled a jointly engineered multicloud service that lets companies establish private, high speed links between the two clouds in minutes rather than weeks. The move aims to cut latency and boost reliability for demanding enterprise uses, including AI workloads and mission critical systems.

Reuters reported on December 1 that Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud announced a joint multicloud networking service designed to let customers rapidly create private connections between the two platforms. The offering merges AWS Interconnect multicloud with Google Cross Cloud Interconnect, streamlining a process that formerly required complex coordination and could take weeks to complete.
The companies said the service is targeted at enterprises that require lower latency and higher reliability for AI workloads and mission critical systems. Early adopters listed by Reuters include Salesforce, signaling immediate interest from large software firms that depend on cross cloud data flows and near real time processing.
The new product addresses longstanding pain points for organizations that run applications across multiple cloud providers. Multicloud architectures promise resilience and flexibility, but network fragmentation has often imposed latency, complexity and operational risk.
