Army Painter's John Blanche Volumes 3 and 4 Land in Game Stores
Army Painter says John Blanche Masterclass Volumes 3 and 4 land in game stores on February 21, each pack includes ten 18 ml Warpaints Fanatic, an art print and a free painting guide.

The Army Painter announced in a Feb 19 blog that "John Blanche Masterclass Volumes 3 and 4 are landing in stores around the world on February 21," and the company’s Instagram post reiterated, "The new John Blanche Masterclass Volume 3 and 4 paint sets are arriving in local game stores on February 21!" The release is framed as an extension of the John Blanche Masterclass line of themed palettes.
Each volume ships as a themed 10-colour paint set: 10 × 18 ml Warpaints Fanatic bottles configured as 8 acrylics plus 2 washes, one art print, and one free painting guide, a package confirmed across the Army Painter copy, retailer listings, and reviewer notes. Gamers Guild AZ’s ACD Distribution listing surfaces as a live pre-order for Volume 3 with SKU AMYWP8109 and a visible price snippet showing $53.99 and $40.49; that page also carries the retailer’s warning that "Orders containing a pre-order items WILL NOT SHIP until the final pre-order item is able to be shipped."
Army Painter positions the two boxes as complementary halves of Blanche’s palette. The company describes one set as leaning "into the cold, spectral side of his imagination, pallid tones, moody blues, ghost-lit highlights that whisper of frost-bitten ruins and eerie stillness," and the other as burning "warm and visceral, ochres, searing oranges, rich reds and unsettling greens that pulse with heat, decay, and intensity." "Together, they form a dual spectrum: fire and frost, warmth and cold, tension and balance. Grimdark, evolving," the blog copy concludes.

Early reviews reinforce the thematic split and package contents. GamingTrend wrote, "I will start by saying that Vol 3 and Vol 4 are amazing additions to this lineup of John Blanche approved paints... in some ways, all you really need would be the four of these sets to have a very complete paint range." The reviewer detailed that Volume 3 contains eight cold colours while Volume 4 is "mostly filled with 7 warm tones, along with one cool color," and noted both boxes include two unique washes, an art print, a bi-fold Fanatic-Range guide, and the standard Army Painter painting guide. The same reviewer added that their review copies lacked a brush but stated, "My review copies didn't include this, but if you order these from Army Painter, you will also get a brush with each."
A date discrepancy remains between manufacturer and at least one retailer. While Army Painter’s official copy and Instagram name February 21 as the in-store arrival, Gamers Guild AZ lists the item as a pre-order with an expected release date of 03/30/2026 and the ACD Distribution routing shown in the listing title. Confirm availability with your local game store or distributor before planning purchases, and check Army Painter direct for any brush-inclusion promotions or official pricing updates.
