Autauga County Board Files Feb. 20 Special Meeting Notice at Prattville

The Autauga County Board of Education posted an official notice through Alabama’s Open Meetings Act portal announcing a Special Board Meeting scheduled for 8:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at the Chapter One Center, 131 Washington Street in Prattville. The portal filing serves as the district’s formal public notice for the Feb. 20 session.

Autauga County Schools also posted that the district’s February board meeting is available online. The district’s Facebook page declared, “The Autauga County Board of Education's February meeting is available to watch at your convenience!” and detailed content included in the February meeting recording: “an NFL Girls Flag Football Showcase report from Lanieya Page who just traveled back from an all-expenses paid San Francisco trip, the final 2024-2025 report card overviews from Billingsley School, Pine Level Elementary, Marbury Middle School, Marbury High School, and Prattville High School, a financial presentation, and a Superintendent's report with digital chapters designed to take you to the information you want with just one click.”

The Facebook post showed modest engagement: six reactions, one comment and one share. A commenter, Sandra Penton Posey, asked, “Is this on utube?” and the Autauga County Schools page replied, “It is. On the Autauga County Schools page.” The post used the district tags #EquipEngageExcel #AdvancingAutaugaCounty #ACSUpdates and referenced a YouTube link labeled “February 2026 Board Meeting.”

The Autauga County Board of Education calendar on the district website lists additional meetings through May. Calendar entries visible include a Regular Board Meeting on March 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., a Regular Board Meeting on April 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., a Special Board Meeting on April 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., and a Regular Board Meeting on May 12, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The site capture also shows district contact information as 153 W 4th Street, Prattville, AL 36067, phone 334-365-5706 and fax 334-361-3828.
