Autauga County Commission Posts March 3 Prattville Agenda With Personnel Actions
Autauga County posted its March 3 Prattville agenda listing multiple personnel hires and actions across the jail, probate, transit and engineering departments.

The Autauga County Commission posted its regular meeting agenda for March 3, 2026, for Prattville, listing order of business, a consent docket and a series of personnel hires and personnel actions across county departments. The two-page posting also places a budget amendment and an executive session on the Commission calendar, though the agenda does not specify an amendment amount or the statutory basis for the executive session.
Items carried forward from the Commission’s Oct. 7, 2025 materials show a cluster of corrections-office staffing moves tied to the posted personnel actions. The Oct. 7 packet records the resignation of Landon Orange, full-time correction officer, effective 9/29/2025, and the approved hire of Earnest Campbell as a full-time correction officer, Grade PS301: STEP 3, effective pending a two weeks notice to replace Orange. The same materials list Sarek Huggins, full-time correction officer, Grade PS301: STEP 3, effective 10/1/2025, replacing John Shay McGuire, and Robert Bradford approved as a full-time correction officer, Grade PS301: STEP 3, effective pending background/drug test, replacing Anna Fabritis.
The Oct. 7 agenda also records re-hires and incomplete replacement language that match the personnel actions noted for March 3. Karl Youngblood was approved for re-hire as a part-time school resource officer (P/T SRO, contract) effective 9/22/2025 to replace Spencer Traywick, and the packet includes the line approving the re-hire of Charles Driscoll as Narcotic Sgt, Grade PS305: STEP 4, “EFFECTIVE (PENDING BACKGROUND/DRUG TEST) TO REPLACE WHEN HE RESIGNED IN MARCH 2025,” a phrase in the original text that does not name the person Driscoll would replace.
Probate and transit items in the Oct. 7 materials mirror the personnel slate. Probate Judge Kim Kervin’s section shows the resignation of Shericka Taylor, license clerk, effective 10/1/2025, with a replacement to be hired. Transit director Rose Thomas-Williams’ items approve hiring Shawn Gurley as a part-time driver, Grade 3: STEP 1, pending background/drug test to replace Kenta Richardson, and note approval of an FY2026 agreement between Autauga County Rural Transportation and an unnamed party; the packet also lists the address 934 County Rd 45 N, Autaugaville 36003 adjacent to that item.
Infrastructure and contracting actions appear in County Engineer John Mark Davis’ Oct. 7 submission. The Commission sought approval to award Project #RA-ACP01-82-21 - FDR, patch, level and resurface CR 19 from US Hwy 82 to Autauga Northern Railroad - to Wiregrass Construction Co. Inc. as the lowest bidder. Engineering items also include hires: Austin Redden, Operator II, Grade 5: STEP 1, pending background/drug test to replace Cody Simon, and Lee Powell, Operator I, Grade 4: STEP 4, pending background/drug test to replace Steven Williams, whose hire was rescinded.
Contract approvals noted in the Oct. 7 docket that feed into the March 3 agenda include a 1-year inmate housing contract with Tallapoosa County and a 3-year managed services agreement with Imaging Business Machines, LLC (ibml) for a document scanning/filing system. The county’s financial notes for the year ended September 30, 2024, recorded eligible FEMA expenditures of $671,715.15 under Assistance Listing Number 97.036 and list Commissioners Jay Thompson, John L. Thrailkill, Rusty Jacksland, Larry Stoudemire and Bill Tatum, with Scott Kramer as Treasurer/Administrator.
The March 3 Prattville posting consolidates these personnel shifts, contract items and a budget amendment and executive session on the Commission’s agenda for consideration at the regular meeting. Several hires listed in the Oct. 7 materials remain contingent on background or drug testing or on pending notices.
