Barnwell Resident, Denmark Tech Accounting Manager Charged with Card Fraud in Bamberg

Jessica Marie Holman, 47, a Barnwell County resident who worked as a senior accounting manager at Denmark Technical College between 2024 and 2025, was charged Feb. 19 with financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud (value more than $500 in a six-month period) and was booked into the Bamberg County Detention Center, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said in a news release.

The affidavit in the matter identifies Holman’s role at Denmark Technical College and states she was “entrusted with the proper dispersion of state funds.” The charging documents cited by SLED list two counts: financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud as defined by the value threshold included in the charge language.

SLED’s news release and the affidavit provided the Feb. 19 charging date and the booking location in Bamberg, but the release did not specify an exact dollar amount or itemized transactions tied to the allegations.
