Buffalo Bisons Host Free Spring Carnival March 1; $2 Concessions Benefit Charity
Free admission and $2 Sahlen’s hot dogs, Coca‑Cola drinks and cotton candy at The Powerhouse will benefit the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation as fans can grab $5 Opening Day tickets by donation.

Free admission and family activities are on offer today at The Powerhouse as the Buffalo Bisons stage their Spring Training Carnival from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 140 Lee St. in Buffalo. "The promotional schedule is out and the countdown to Opening Day at Sahlen Field is on, and the Bisons today announced the return of their popular Spring Training Carnival, Sunday, March 1 (10am-2pm) at The Powerhouse on 140 Lee St. in Buffalo," the team announced.
Concessions are being sold at promotional prices to raise money for the club’s charity: "Sahlen’s Hot Dogs, Coca‑Cola Soft Drinks & Cotton Candy will be on sale for just $2 each, with proceeds to benefit the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation." Families can expect multiple kid-focused attractions during the four-hour window; organizers list games, bounce houses, a balloon station, logo hair paintings, coloring stations and photo opportunities with Buster T. Bison and other gameday mascots. "The family-friendly carnival is free to attend and features a variety activities, including games, bounce houses, a balloon station, logo hair paintings, and coloring stations. Buster T. Bison is also expected to make an appearance."
The Carnival also doubles as a ticket drive for the Bisons’ home slate: fans can get Opening Day and Opening Weekend access through a small donation. "Fans will also be able to purchase Opening Day (March 27) and Opening Weekend Tickets (March 28 & 29) for only a $5.00 donation to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation," the team release states, while other event notices say, "Fans who make a $5 donation will receive a ticket to either Opening Day or one of the Opening Weekend games." Reports consistently tie the ticket offer to Opening Day at Sahlen Field on March 27 and the March 28 and 29 opening weekend dates.
One promotional prize drew conflicting details in advance coverage: one notice promises, "One lucky fan will also win an opportunity to throw the Ceremonial First Pitch before a Bison's game during the 2026-27 season," while another version says, "one fan who stops in during the event will be signed for a chance win the opportunity to throw out a Ceremonial First Pitch before a Bisons game this season." Media accounts differ on whether the throwing opportunity applies to this season or the 2026-27 season; event attendees should look for official contest rules posted at the Carnival.
Social posts for the event call it the Bisons' "4th annual Spring Training Carnival," and organizers promise discounts on tickets, gear and merchandise alongside the kids’ activities. With the team pushing promotional momentum toward Sahlen Field, the Carnival offers low-cost concessions and a chance at Opening Day access while raising funds for the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation as the club builds toward March 27.
