Copperas Cove police report arrests for alleged child pornography, family assault, DUI
Copperas Cove police listed a possession of child pornography report at 400 South 25th Street and an arrest of Kurtis Scott Baker at the 1600 block of Robertson Avenue on DWI 3rd and unlawful carry charges.

Copperas Cove police reported a string of incidents in a March 3 daily bulletin that included a possession of child pornography entry at 400 South 25th Street and the arrest of BAKER, KURTIS SCOTT at the 1600 block of Robertson Avenue on charges printed as driving while intoxicated 3rd or more and unlawful carry of a weapon.
The bulletin lists the child pornography entry as “POSSESSION CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: 400 SOUTH 25TH STREET. NIXON” with report number 26-0691 and time 0940. The notice provides no additional names, booking details, or narrative for that report.
Earlier the same bulletin records an assault involving a family member at the 4100 block of Lopez Primrose Drive under report 26-0692 at 0903 with the description “ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER.” No arrest or officer name is printed on that assault line in the bulletin.
An accident entry at 1942 with report number 26-0702 at the 1600 block of Robertson Avenue also carries an arrest line: “ARRESTED: BAKER, KURTIS SCOTT: DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 3RD OR MORE, UNLAWFUL CARRY WEAPON: 1600 BLOCK ROBERTSON AVENUE.” The accident line names Officer JACCAUD; the bulletin prints the arrest and the accident together but does not include booking time, bond amount, or court information for Baker.
The department recorded a violent juvenile incident at the 1300 block of Marlee Circle under report 26-0705 at 2242: “AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON: 1300 BLOCK MARLEE CIRCLE. (ONE JUVENILE DETAINED AND RELEASED TO HAYS COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER).” That same address appears earlier in the bulletin as a runaway report — “RUNAWAY: 1300 BLOCK MARLEE CIRCLE” (1814, 26-0700) handled by Officer BURDEN — and the return entry lists Officer KARCHER on the 26-0705 line.
The March 3 bulletin includes multiple traffic incidents and other public-safety calls: accidents at 1206 West Avenue B (1354, 26-0694, PADGETT), at the intersection of Nick Nichols Parkway and Padgett West Avenue B (1628, 26-0697), 1875 North 1st Street (1707, 26-0698, GERKEN), and the 1000 block South Main Street (1714, 26-0699, PADGETT). A cruelty-to-non-livestock-animal report is listed as “CRUELTY NON-LIVESTOCK ANIMAL: 600 BLOCK WEST SEARCY WASHINGTON AVENUE” (1514, 26-0695). An emergency medical detention appears at “2300 BLOCK WIGEON WAY” (2057, 26-0703, COUNTER), and a fleet accident is logged at the 400 block West Avenue C (1522, 26-0696, GERKEN).
The bulletin text contains formatting and address anomalies that merit confirmation: duplicate or truncated entries for report 26-0701 (1847) that reference an assault at the 1300 block Marlee Circle and an “ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY: 351 LUTHERAN CHURCH LANZA ROAD,” and unconventional spellings such as “WIGEON WAY” and “LOPEZ PRIMROSE DRIVE.” The bulletin does not provide victim names, ages, injury details, or full arrest booking information; police records and incident reports associated with report numbers 26-0691 through 26-0705 would be required to clarify those items.
