Cordelia de Castellane has turned Sofitel’s staff wardrobe into a fashion statement. Le Vestiaire is a modular, mix-and-match collection billed as roughly 45 pieces that will dress 25,000 employees across 120 hotels, moving the brand away from one-size-fits-all uniforms and toward curated personal dressing for front-office staff, housekeeping and roles spanning 25 job types.
The collection reads like Parisian tailoring translated for long shifts. Globaltravelerusa describes timeless cuts and tactile fabrics in a palette of navy blue, coconut milk, beige and denim blue, and notes the graphic Sofitel logo reworked into exclusive monogram prints applied to scarves, shirts, dresses and ties. Sofitel’s press material highlights specific styling options: the Gilet Cintré comes in a sleeveless version that pairs with pleated trousers or a midi skirt, an image of a uniform system built for layering and ease of movement.
This is not a distant atelier exercise. Travel + Leisure reports that de Castellane — the Paris-born creative force behind Dior Maison and Baby Dior — spent time in Sofitel’s Paris hotel for workshops and fittings to see how garments function on the job, and she framed the collaboration as natural: “This collaboration felt very natural because we share the same values: a love of beauty, attention to detail, and a deep respect for craftsmanship and comfort,” de Castellane told Travel + Leisure. Globetrender adds that the collection was tested with 110 staff members in different regions ahead of launch, confirming the practical focus behind the aesthetics.
Sofitel’s leadership is explicit about the brand moment the wardrobe is meant to embody. Maud Bailly celebrates the timing amid hotel renovations and new openings: “We are entering a moment when Sofitel has fully regained its pride, at a time when so many of our hotels are being beautifully renovated - such as Sofitel New York, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, and many more - and when new Sofitel properties are opening around the world as true flagships of the brand. It was essential to me that our teams - the very essence of luxury - could also benefit from this new era of beauty. It felt only natural that they should shine more than ever. I am delighted by this collaboration with Cordelia de Castellane, who has perfectly captured the spirit of a refined, timeless wardrobe, celebrating French elegance and luxury.” Sofitel’s pressroom sums the intent crisply: “Haute couture sensitivity meets hospitality.”

Timing and availability remain presented differently across outlets. Globaltravelerusa and Globetrender report the rollout will begin from the end of 2026 across Sofitel’s 120 hotels, and name locations from Dubai to Hanoi to Bali as examples where local houses will curate looks. By contrast, another report states that pieces could be purchased by Sofitel hotels starting Feb. 10 and that the collection is now live; the brand’s pressroom frames the launch as a Parisian-inspired global wardrobe while the precise deployment schedule varies by account.
Le Vestiaire is more than a uniform update; it is a workwear manifesto. With refined accessories, monogram scarves and a modular 45-piece core that staff can mix and match, Sofitel is betting that consistent French elegance can coexist with regional adaptation — from the marble-lined New York lobby to the terraces of Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua and the façade of Sofitel Paris le Faubourg, where staff have already appeared in the new pieces. Whether hotels adopt the end-of-year rollout plan or begin purchasing immediately, the project marks Cordelia de Castellane’s first global uniform collection and signals a clear shift in hospitality dressing toward comfort, craft and personal expression.
