Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio walked the red carpet at Drai's Supper Club in New York City Monday night, hours before the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 hit Disney+ on Tuesday, March 24, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Cox offered a pointed preview of what season 2 holds: "Things will come to a head in a way that they didn't — they couldn't and didn't in season one. I think approximately six months has passed. Matt and Karen are like fugitives almost, doing anything they can to make a small dent in the Fisk administration and the regime. It builds to a really beautiful crescendo."

The season picks up with Mayor Wilson Fisk crushing New York City underfoot as he hunts down the Hell's Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil, while beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock fights back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin's corrupt empire and redeem his home. Murdock must gather allies to resist Fisk and his newly formed Anti-Vigilante Task Force.

Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord and Matt Corman, the series stars Cox as Murdock and D'Onofrio as Fisk, with Deborah Ann Woll returning as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye, and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn. The season also marks the long-awaited return of Krysten Ritter as fan-favorite Jessica Jones. The series additionally stars Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Jon Bernthal. Matthew Lillard joins the cast as the mysterious Mr. Charles, a new antagonist.

Ritter was announced to be reprising her Jessica Jones role in May 2025; she later said she had known about her return for nearly two years and had struggled to keep the secret because she was "asked about it daily."

The season consists of eight episodes, releasing weekly on Disney+. According to episode-by-episode schedule reporting, new installments drop every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET through the season finale on May 5, with individual runtimes ranging from 44 to 51 minutes per episode. The first episode runs 51 minutes; the finale matches that length.

Season 2 is part of Phase Six of the MCU and is released under Marvel Television's label. A third season was confirmed in September 2025, with filming already underway as of March 2026; it is expected to be released in March 2027.

Filming for season 2 took place from February to July 2025 in New York. Dario Scardapane served as showrunner, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as lead directors.

Season 1's two-episode premiere drew 7.5 million views on Disney+ in its first five days, the biggest debut on the platform for 2025 at that point. Season 2 launches with a single episode on March 24 before shifting to a weekly Tuesday cadence. Unlike the Netflix-era Daredevil, which released full seasons at midnight Pacific time, Disney+ is scheduling new episodes at 9 p.m. ET each week.

Season 2 streams exclusively on Disney+ beginning March 24 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. UK viewers can catch episode 1 at 1 a.m. GMT on March 25, with that time shifting to 2 a.m. GMT for subsequent episodes after Daylight Saving Time takes effect on March 29.
