Early Voting Ends in Rockwall County; Pierson Urges March 3 Turnout
Texas Rep. Katrina Pierson wrapped up campaigning as early voting in Rockwall County ended Feb. 27 and urged residents to cast ballots on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3.

Texas State Representative Katrina Pierson wrapped up campaigning as early voting concluded in Rockwall County and urged residents to vote on Election Day Tuesday, March 3, a campaign post that highlighted community turnout in the final week. Early voting ran February 17 through February 27 for the March 3, 2026 Primary Election, and voters who did not cast a ballot early must visit their polling place on Tuesday to participate.
Rockwall County published the scheduled early-voting hours and locations in its bilingual voting materials. The county calendar listed February 17–20 with hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, February 21 at 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, February 22 with 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Annex only, and February 23–27 at 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Rockwallvotes reiterated that “The Elections Office will be open the same hours as all polling locations.”
Two locations are explicitly named in the county excerpts distributed to voters. The Elections Office / Annex is listed at the new address, 1101 E. Yellowjacket Ln., Suite 150, Rockwall, TX 75087; Rockwallvotes notes, “NOTE The ONLY location for Early Voting on Sunday, February 22nd is the Annex.” The Rowlett Utility Center is listed as an early voting site at 6602 Dalrock Rd., Rowlett, TX 75089 — Conference Room — and appears in the Rockwallvotes calendar entries for February 17–21 hours.
Administrative details for voters are available from the Rockwall County Elections Office. The county lists its phone number as (972) 204-6200 and confirms the office’s regular hours of operation as “Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.” The county also states, “The Rockwall County Elections Office will be closed on Monday, March 2, 2026, in observance of Texas Independence Day.” Sample ballots for both Republican and Democratic primaries and the county documents EV-Schedule-03.03.2026_1 and ED-Locations-03.03.2026_1 are referenced for full early-voting and Election Day site lists.
State deadlines remain important for voters who sought mail ballots or missed registration cutoffs. VoteTexas rules require that applications for a ballot by mail be received by the early voting clerk by February 20 to receive a mailed ballot. Ballots mailed within the United States must be received by 5:00 PM on March 4 if postmarked by 7:00 PM on March 3, while overseas mailed ballots may be received through March 9 if postmarked by 7:00 PM on March 3. NBCDFW guidance cited by the county explains that Texas mail-in ballots are available only for voters who are out of county on Election Day and during early voting, sick or disabled, confined in jail but otherwise eligible, or 65 or older, and that absentee applications must include a matching Texas driver’s license number, DPS ICN/ECN, or the last four digits of a Social Security number.
Voters who need clarification on locations, hours, or sample ballots should contact the Rockwall County Elections Office at (972) 204-6200 or consult the county’s published EV-Schedule-03.03.2026_1 and ED-Locations-03.03.2026_1 documents before heading to the polls on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
