ECH Yuma Hosts Second Annual Free Heart Health Fair Feb. 21
Lisa Brazeel led ECH Yuma’s free Heart Health Fair at 2648 Araby Road on Feb. 21, 2026, offering free blood pressure checks, a heart-healthy cooking demo and yoga from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lisa Brazeel, ECH Yuma's Marketing and Community Liaison, helped run the Second Annual Free Heart Health Fair at Exceptional Community Hospital’s Yuma location, listed in local materials as 2648 Araby Road and in a promotional Instagram post as 2648 S Araby, on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, held in honor of Heart Health Month, provided free blood pressure screenings, a live heart-healthy cooking demonstration and a live yoga/exercise demo.
Brazeel emphasized everyday prevention during the fair, telling attendees, "It's sleep, exercise, nutrition...Those are things that can promote heart health for you. It's just so important to eat healthy, drink lots of water, exercise, and sleep," Brazeel shared. The hospital also staged a youth outreach component: the day before the fair ECH Yuma held a drawing contest with some Dorothy Hall Elementary School students, and Brazeel said the winner will be announced next week.
Promotional material circulated ahead of the event identified the host variously as "Exceptional Community Hospital (ECH) of Yuma," "ECH Yuma" and in one Instagram post as "EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Yuma." That Instagram post read verbatim: "EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Yuma 2ND ANNUAL FREE HEART HEALTH FAIR February 21, 2026 10am-2pm Exceptional Community Hospital 2648 S Araby." The fair drew community attendance around free preventive services that target common, modifiable cardiovascular risk factors.

The ECH Yuma fair sits alongside a broader slate of February heart-focused events across the valley. Arizona Western College is running its "Heart & Healthy Relationships Fair" series with a Yuma Campus stop at the 3C Breezeway on Wednesday, February 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Parker Community Center event on Thursday, February 12, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and a San Luis Learning Center event on Wednesday, February 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Student Care Coordinator Adrienne Noriega said, "The 2026 Heart & Healthy Relationships Fair is an opportunity for our campus communities to come together to support physical health and meaningful, healthy relationships. Each February, this fair connects students, staff, faculty and community members with local resources that nurture all forms of wellbeing. We’re especially excited to expand beyond Yuma and San Luis to bring the fair to Parker, making these important connections more accessible across our communities."
For community follow-up, Arizona Western College lists the Health & Wellness Team at (928) 344-7602 and health.wellness@azwestern.edu, and Adrienne Noriega at adrienne.noriega@azwestern.edu or (928) 317-6243. Local reporting on the ECH Yuma fair was carried in coverage bearing the byline area that includes Dillon Fuhrman; inquiries on that coverage can be sent to dillon.fuhrman@kecytv.com. The free screenings and demos at the Feb. 21 fair underline local efforts during Heart Health Month to make prevention services and health education accessible across Yuma County.
