Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman winner and national champion widely projected as the top quarterback in the 2026 class and “widely expected to be taken by the Las Vegas Raiders with the first overall pick in April,” will not throw at the scouting combine but will throw at Indiana's pro day on April 1, Bleacher Report says. Pro days are suddenly the most consequential runway for players who passed on on-field Combine drills: Pro Football Focus cautions, “Pro days, of course, allow NFL hopefuls to operate in a more familiar and controlled environment. While pro day workouts must be taken with a dash of salt, they remain an important piece of the predraft process.”

NFL.com has published a consolidated, running list of confirmed pro-day dates and confirmations that FCS prospects are already using as a reference, and the 2026 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. Jeff Hartman of SteelCurtainNetwork wrote, “The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is officially over, and the next step in the NFL Draft process are individual pro days. Believe it or not, some Pro Days are scheduled to start in the days following the Combine, but the largest pro days are still weeks away.”

The assembled calendar runs from March 2 through April 10 and includes multiple FCS and mid-major entries that matter to pro scouts. March 19 lists North Dakota State and Stephen F. Austin, March 24 includes William & Mary and South Dakota, March 25 features Sam Houston State, March 27 shows South Dakota State, March 30 lists Tennessee State, April 3 has Montana, and April 10 closes with Towson. Several Power 5 and Group of 5 pro days bookend those FCS dates: Boise State, Cincinnati, Louisville, Notre Dame and NC State are grouped on March 24; Ohio State, Arizona, UMass and UCF appear on March 25; March 26 contains Alcorn State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Pittsburgh and UAB, with Florida explicitly listed on March 26 by Pro Football Focus and The Draft Network.
