Florence search-warrant yields three arrests, stolen goods recovered; detective uses taser
Detective deploys a taser after a knife-wielding man tries to flee a Florence home on the 2200 block of 12th Street; three suspects and stolen property were seized.

A detective deployed a taser after 35-year-old Jason Scott Sprinkle attempted to flee a Florence residence on foot while armed with a knife during a search-warrant service at the 2200 block of 12th Street, Lane County Sheriff’s Office officials said. Sprinkle dropped the knife and was taken into custody without further incident, authorities reported.
The search warrant was served at about 7:00 a.m. on March 4 by a multi-agency team that included the Lane County Sheriff’s Special Response Team (SRT), detectives, the West Lane district deputy who authored the warrant, Florence Police officers and an Oregon State Police trooper. The action was opened under Lane County Sheriff’s Office case number 26-0939 and stemmed from an investigation into numerous burglaries and thefts in west Lane County.
K9 Ripp initially pursued Sprinkle as deputies cleared the property, and a detective positioned on the perimeter subsequently deployed a taser, leading to the knife being dropped and the arrest, local news reports and the sheriff’s bulletin say. The SRT was deployed for the service in part because LCSO identified Sprinkle as a primary suspect who had attempted to flee and assaulted deputies during prior contacts, according to the FlashAlert posting from the sheriff’s office.
Three suspects were arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail in connection with the Florence burglary and theft investigation. Alongside Sprinkle, the sheriff’s release named 29-year-old Skeyla Aireann Wardrobe of Mapleton, who faces first-degree theft, second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief charges; and a 34-year-old person identified by surname Eskildsen of Florence, arrested on a Douglas County warrant for second-degree trespass. Jail records cited in the sheriff’s release show Sprinkle and Wardrobe in custody as of March 5.
Authorities recovered stolen property during the search that investigators say is linked to multiple open cases in west Lane County. Deputies also located construction materials and tools at the residence that appeared “out of place” but have not yet been identified to specific cases, according to KVAL and NBC16 coverage of the LCSO bulletin.
The sheriff’s office bulletin also includes a separate FlashAlert entry describing the arrest of an individual identified as Lafrance on Huckleberry Lane, where a Florence officer deployed a taser and an Oregon State Trooper assisted; FlashAlert lists multiple charges for Lafrance. The LCSO press release and several news outlets, however, attribute the 12th Street operation specifically to the three named suspects, leaving Lafrance’s connection to case 26-0939 ambiguous in the materials released so far.
Lane County Sheriff’s Office materials indicate the investigation into the string of burglaries and thefts in west Lane County is ongoing under case 26-0939. Booking times, bond information and prosecutor filings for the arrested individuals were not included in the initial sheriff’s release.
