FOX5 to Air A's vs Angels Big League Weekend in Las Vegas
FOX5 KVVU and SSSEN will carry the A’s vs Angels Big League Weekend at Las Vegas Ballpark with telecasts listed at 1:05 p.m. PT; sources differ on whether the games fall March 7–8 or air March 8–9.

FOX5 KVVU and the Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network will carry Big League Weekend, a two-game spring exhibition between the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels at Las Vegas Ballpark, with telecasts listed to begin at 1:05 p.m. PT. The Las Vegas Aviators announced local broadcast arrangements that package the Major League matchup for Southern Nevada viewers and streaming audiences.
The published schedule contains conflicting calendar dates. The Aviators’ original announcement and a Sports Illustrated listing identify the games as March 7 and March 8, each starting at 1:05 p.m. PT. A MiLB/Aviators press release and Fox5 Vegas copy instead list SSSEN airing Saturday, March 8 at 1:05 p.m. and FOX5 airing Sunday, March 9 at 1:05 p.m. The MiLB release also includes a duplicated paragraph naming the Arizona Diamondbacks vs Athletics, which appears to be an editorial duplication and does not match the majority of scheduling statements about the Angels matchup.
Local distribution is split across over-the-air, cable, and apps. SSSEN is identified as the “home of Aviators baseball” and will broadcast on channel 5.2 over the air and on Cox cable channel 125. Fox5’s promotional copy urges viewers to “Watch the Athletics play the Angels for Big League Weekend exclusively on FOX5.” The Aviators materials and local outlets list additional distribution on the MLB App, the NBC Sports App, and the A’s Cast platform, and Sports Illustrated notes that games on the broader spring slate will be available to MLB.tv subscribers.
Radio and team broadcast assignments are also included in the media materials. MiLB’s release names Ken Korach and Johnny Daskow as the radio broadcast team for the two-game series and states that “Korach and Daskow will also call the action on SSSEN & KVVU FOX5.” MiLB describes Korach as “returning for his 30th season (34th year in the American League) with the A’s and his 20th as the team’s lead radio announcer” and provides biographical notes tracing Korach’s early jobs in Chicago, the California League, Phoenix and the Las Vegas Stars. Sports Illustrated lists Korach as returning for the 2026 season and names Johnny Doskow, spelled differently and identified as entering his fourth season, while noting Chris Caray will return for his second year and that Jenny Cavnar and A’s Cast host Chris Townsend will join for select spring games.

Digital access and blackout considerations are noted across the pack of announcements. SI explicitly lists FOX5 KVVU and the MLB App as carriage for the Las Vegas games at 1:05 p.m. PT, and SI’s televised-game table says those spring telecasts will be available on MLB.tv for subscribers, with an explicit subscription reference of about $150 for a whole-year out-of-market package and in-market options on Athletics.tv monthly plans. The Aviators’ release separately cites the NBC Sports App as “additional distribution.”
With the Oakland A’s planned transition to Las Vegas on the horizon, local outlets framed the weekend as carrying heightened importance. As Fox5 put it, “With the A’s transition to Las Vegas on the horizon, this year’s games take on special significance, and FOX5 and SSSEN are ensuring fans can watch every moment.” The announcements make clear fans can follow the A’s on multiple platforms and hear the club’s veteran radio team calling the action live from Las Vegas Ballpark.
