Furls unveils rebuilt Odyssey II crochet hooks, available March 6, 2026

The company’s technical changes center on the hook tip. Product copy states "Tips are crafted from CNC-made aluminum with chrome plating making them lighter, more durable, and more precise than the original." The tip shape "is machined, rather than hand cast and polished, creating consistent tip shaping across all sizes and individual hooks. The room for error or misshaping due to hand polishing has been removed." Furls also describes the tip as "a refinement of our classic fusion style, optimized for stitch speed and comfort."

Assembly and durability adjustments are explicit in the product notes. Furls says "The tips are secured via over-molding, a process which prevents loosening or dislodging over time."
