Hamden Firefighters’ 8th Annual Chicken Noodle Dinner Features Girl Scouts, Drive-Thru, Dine-In

Hamden Volunteer Firefighters Association served its community chicken noodle dinners on Feb. 24, 2026, marking the eighth year of the department’s annual fundraiser. The event, organized by the local volunteer fire department and its fundraising arm, combined traditional dine-in service with a drive-thru option to reach more residents across Hamden.

Organizers set up the dinner to provide both drive-thru pickup and dine-in seating, allowing attendees to choose how they received meals during the Feb. 24 event. The dual format reflected the association’s effort to accommodate families and working residents while maintaining the fundraiser’s volunteer-run operations.

Local Girl Scout troops participated directly in the fundraiser: troops 8764, 8885 and 9406 were listed as vendors during the Chicken Noodle Dinner. The participation of those troops created a visible partnership between the Hamden Volunteer Firefighters Association and youth organizations in the community during the eighth annual event.

This 8th Annual Chicken Noodle Dinner continued the Hamden Volunteer Firefighters Association’s string of annual fundraisers that support the department’s volunteer structure and community activities. By staging the dinner on Feb. 24, 2026 with both drive-thru and dine-in options and with Girl Scout troops 8764, 8885 and 9406 on hand as vendors, the association maintained a local tradition blending public service, fundraising and civic participation in Hamden.
