Informa Markets' Istanbul Jewelry Show Spotlights Turkish Goldsmithing and Innovation
More than 1,500 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors gathered at the Istanbul Jewelry Show as gold jewellery—and Cilek Koncept’s Bee Mine bee-motif collection—drove brisk B2B trade.

Gold jewellery dazzled buyers at the 55th Istanbul Jewelry Show (IJS), which brought together global industry players in the Turkish city for four days of B2B networking and transactions." That post-event assessment was accompanied by the organiser’s figures: the edition held from April 17 to 20 featured more than 1,500 exhibitors from 16 countries and attracted over 30,000 visitors from 139 countries, 41 per cent of which were from overseas, with international attendance up 8 per cent year-on-year.
The fair is produced by Informa Markets, part of Informa PLC’s events portfolio. Blingsis placed IJS in the context of Informa’s reach, noting the company runs as many as 18 jewelry events worldwide and that these shows together attract more than 420,000 visitors and nearly 13,000 exhibitors. News Jewellerynet reported that IJS is organised twice a year and that the fair, traditionally held in March and October, took place in April for the first time in 2024 and debuted a new logo and branding.
Product demand at the show skewed toward wearable, everyday pieces and region-specific karat preferences. A late-February preview flagged Turkish manufacturers’ emphasis on "wearable gold and silver designs targeted at everyday consumption (lightweight chain sets, everyday bangles, and vers" in trade previews. Post-event reporting recorded a general preference for 18-karat gold, while buyers from the US and Europe gravitated toward 14-karat gold and customers from the United Arab Emirates mostly asked for 21- to 22-karat gold items. News also singled out evil eye and animal-inspired motifs as top trends and identified fine jewellery pieces, innovative designs and commercial items among the fastest-moving products.

Design programming aimed to bridge craft and concept. Blingsis highlighted curated sections including the Designers Club, prepared in cooperation with the Jewellery Exporters’ Association, and the Art for Jewellery - Inspiration Hub, saying "I’m especially excited to visit the 'Designers Club' section, prepared in cooperation with the Jewelry Exporters’ Association, where outstanding examples of jewelry design and craftsmanship will be showcased." Blingsis added that IJS covers not only finished jewellery but also advances in tools, machinery, logistics and packaging.
Exhibitors reported solid business across gold segments. News noted that the April edition "placed Türkiye in the spotlight, with majority of exhibitors reporting steady business, backed by solid demand for gold jewellery throughout the four-day event." Among launches, Gold jeweller Cilek Koncept Jewellery introduced its Bee Mine Collection, with bee-motif rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets offered in 14-, 18-, 21- and 22-karat gold.

While preview material and social posts advertised the show for April 1–4 at the Istanbul Expo Center, post-event coverage and organiser statements list April 17–20; organisers can be contacted directly for clarification at WhatsApp +90 530 525 42 10, by telephone at +90 212 808 05 90, or by email at ijscustomerservice@informa.com. With refreshed branding, twice-yearly scheduling and a mix of high-volume production and design-led showcases, IJS is positioning Türkiye’s goldsmithing sector for renewed export momentum.
