James Richard Fogle, 72, of Barnwell, funeral set March 5 in Williston

James Richard Fogle, 72, of Barnwell, South Carolina, died Sunday, March 1, 2026, his family announced. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, with the Reverend Jody Flowers officiating.

Born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Manning Halford Fogle, Sr. and Modelle Wilson Fogle. Legacy’s memorial page lists his years as 1954 - 2026. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses and spent his career in farm equipment sales, having worked for Fogle’s Farm Machinery in Neeses and operated Fogle’s Farm Equipment in Barnwell for a number of years.

Survivors include his loving wife of the home, Sandra Faye Hartzog Fogle; his two sons, Ryan (Caroline) Fogle of Chapin, SC and Brandon (Lana) Fogle of Barnwell, SC; his grandson, Aiden Fogle; his sister-in-law, Maggie Fogle and his brother-in-law, Wesley Hartzog along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Garrick Lemmons; brothers, Manning “Buster” Fogle, Coker (Margaret Ann) Fogle and Lee Ozdelle “L.O.” Fogle; brothers-in-law, Pat Hartzog and David Hartzog and a sister-in-law, Judy Hartzog Wilson.

“Funeral services will be held at three o’clock p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Jody Flowers officiating.” Burial will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Neeses, SC. “The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.” Legacy’s calendar-format listing shows visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, followed immediately by the 3:00 p.m. service.
