Jane Bonner Named Grand Marshal for Miller Place-Rocky Point Parade

Mount Sinai — Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Jane Bonner was honored as Grand Marshal of the 74th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade at the Friends of St. Patrick Dinner Dance at the Moose Lodge on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026. Patch reported Bonner was formally presented the sash she will wear heading up the Miller Place–Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 15.

“I am deeply honored to serve as Grand Marshal for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade,” Bonner said. “The Friends of St. Patrick do an incredible job preserving and celebrating this important tradition. It was a wonderful evening, and I am grateful to be part of such a meaningful event.” The remark appears in accounts from Southshorepress and was echoed in local coverage following the dinner dance.

The dinner dance also spotlighted student achievement, naming Justine Lang, a senior at Rocky Point High School, the winner of the Friends of St. Patrick essay contest and recipient of a $1,000 scholarship.
