Coeur d'Alene residents can submit letters of interest and resumes for a contract Hearing Examiner role. The Kootenai County Board of Commissioners is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the contract position of Hearing Examiner.
The selected candidate will be responsible for holding public hearings, establishing findings, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations on land use development applications. The preferred candidate would be a professional land use planner, engineer or attorney, with experience in review and interpretation of state and local land use regulations. Facilitation and public speaking skills are critical. Open until filled.

The name will change to Finnigan Joseph Quan. The reason for the change in name is: The child goes by “Finn” not Micah anymore. Joseph is his father’s middle name. Also, we no longer have any relationship w/ Cory’s stepdad whose last name is Phillips. A hearing on the petition is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on 3-23-2026 at the Kootenai County Courthouse.
