KPMG Law appoints Hélène Weidmann partner, head of Western Switzerland

Hélène Weidmann has been appointed partner and head of KPMG Law Western Switzerland (Romandie) and will also lead the firm’s Corporate / M&A Legal Services, KPMG Switzerland said in a LinkedIn announcement and on its website. The appointment is effective 1 March 2026 and was reported by Swiss legal trade press LegalCommunity.ch.

KPMG’s corporate LinkedIn post stated, "Please join us in welcoming Hélène Weidmann to KPMG Switzerland as a Partner in our Tax & Legal department as of 1 March 2026. She will lead KPMG Law Western Switzerland and our Corporate / M&A Legal Services. We wish her much success in her new role." The move places Weidmann in charge of the firm’s legal footprint across Suisse Romandie while reporting into KPMG Switzerland’s Tax & Legal practice.

KPMG’s biography of Weidmann lists more than 18 years’ experience advising on national and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity, reorganisations and capital markets law. Weidmann’s background on KPMG’s site records governance and sector credentials: she has helped shape M&A and corporate practice groups at leading Swiss law firms, advised a broad range of national and international clients on demanding projects, served as a member of the board of a Swiss bank and of the IOTA Group, and was active in specialist committees of the Vaud Bar Association. Her listed qualifications include law degrees from the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich, an LL.M. from NYU School of Law, a Swiss bar admission, completion of the IMD High Performance Leadership Program and a CAS in M&A and Business Transfer.
