La Grande Closes C Avenue Block March 2 for Sewer Work

The affected block of C Avenue was closed to through traffic for the duration of the work on March 2, with the closure concentrated on the single block identified in the Feb. 27 notice from La Grande Public Works Department. The six-hour timeframe meant the city expected crews to complete excavation, connection and related tasks within the morning-to-afternoon window.
