La Paz County to Hold Oath Reaffirmation Ceremony in Parker
La Paz County will hold an oath reaffirmation ceremony in Parker on Feb. 12 inviting local attorneys to renew the Oath of Admission and mark Arizona Rule of Law Day.

La Paz County will host an in-person oath reaffirmation ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the Superior Court in La Paz County, 1316 Kofa Ave., Parker. The event is part of a statewide Arizona Rule of Law Day in which the Arizona Supreme Court, the State Bar of Arizona, and county courts encourage attorneys and other legal professionals to reaffirm their Oath of Admission.
Organizers say the ceremonies coincide with the United States Semiquincentennial, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and fall on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. Chief Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer framed the date as symbolic: “On the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, lawyers across Arizona will come together to renew their oath — a reminder that the rule of law depends on the daily commitment of those sworn to uphold it,” Timmer said. “Reaffirming that oath on February 12, Lincoln’s Birthday, honors our nation’s founding ideals and our shared responsibility to serve justice with integrity and respect for the Constitution.”
La Paz County’s ceremony is listed on the Arizona Judicial Branch event schedule with Hollie Lucas named as the local contact. County times vary across Arizona; while some organizers describe the observances as simultaneous across all 15 counties, the court schedule shows staggered start times. Maricopa County will hold a 10 a.m. event at the State Courts Building in Phoenix with a livestream link and RSVP options, while Mohave County will convene at noon in Kingman at the Mohave County Board of Supervisors Auditorium, where Presiding Judge Steve Moss is scheduled to lead the local ceremony. Yavapai County’s presiding judge, John Napper, urged participation: “The Yavapai County Superior Court is honored to host this event. It is always important to take time to remember why we do what we do. I encourage all legal professionals to attend and reaffirm their dedication to the rule of law and justice.”
The centerpiece of the statewide observance will be the reaffirmation ceremony; Chief Justice Timmer’s remarks are expected to be livestreamed and available for replay to courts statewide. The State Bar’s Rule of Law Task Force is also listed among organizers, and the State Bar of Arizona provided press contact details for further information: Danny Shapiro, public relations manager, Phone: 602.340.7337, Email: danny.shapiro@staff.azbar.org.

For La Paz County residents, the ceremony is primarily aimed at licensed legal professionals who wish to publicly renew their pledge to apply laws fairly and equally. The event also offers a window into the judicial and civic rhythms of Parker and the wider region during a landmark week that includes Arizona’s 113th statehood birthday on Feb. 14. Attendees and media planning to cover the event should contact Hollie Lucas at the La Paz Superior Court for local logistics, and may consult the Arizona Judicial Branch event page for the full county-by-county schedule, RSVP instructions, and any livestream details.
The reaffirmations will offer La Paz attorneys a formal moment of recommitment; for the broader community, the ceremonies underline the civic role of the courts and the daily work that sustains access to justice across Arizona.
