Lawrence North cruised to an 83-59 victory over North Central and Lawrence Central survived a physical test against Warren Central, 58-50, to set up a Lawrence Township showdown in the Sectional 10 championship Saturday, with Lawrence North at 19-5 and Lawrence Central 13-11 after their semifinal wins.

A dominant first quarter put Lawrence North in front early against North Central, and the Wildcats never relented, rolling to an 83-59 margin over a North Central squad that was listed at 8-14. After the game, Giffin addressed the Wildcats’ lapses late, saying, "We just got a little loose defensively. We didn't get back real well. We didn't guard the dribble real well. Too many fouls, some bad possessions with the offense, so it got a little sloppy there, but happy with the win, happy to move on." He also reflected on the season, "I really like our group. We've put together a 19-win season so far."
