Long Island Pet Expo returns to Brentwood Feb. 28 and March 1
Suffolk County Community College’s Grant Campus in Brentwood hosted the Long Island Pet Expo at the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena, Feb. 28–March 1, 2026, with 100+ exhibits and on-site adoptions.

Suffolk County Community College’s Grant Campus welcomed the Long Island Pet Expo back to the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena, 1001 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1, 2026, bringing more than 100 special exhibits, pet adoptions and indoor family programming to the community. The two-day event ran Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Family Pet Shows, the event promoter, listed admission prices on its event page at the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena: adult tickets were $20 at the door and $15 online; senior and military tickets were $15 both at the door and online; children ages 4–12 were $6 at the door and $4 online; children 3 and under were admitted free. The organizer noted that all events were indoors and that free parking was available at the Brentwood campus, and the expo policy allowed pets on leashes inside the arena.
The expo’s attractions included a mix of demonstrations, competitions and hands-on exhibits. Named performers and presentations at the arena included Gail Mirabella and the Dynamo Dogs, Diana Frohman and her Beautiful Dancing Dogs, a Schutzhund demonstration by Maximum K9 Service, the Zenos Dog Run Lure Course, Rainforest Reptiles shows, TICA Championship Cat Shows, rabbit hopping and Parties by Parrots. Topping the list of special appearances was a new attraction for 2026: Diamond W Saddle Cattle, with Dan Welsh traveling to Brentwood with his Brahman Bulls.

Organizers emphasized adoptions and community partnerships as a central part of the expo. Several area rescue groups with adoptable pets were on hand inside the arena, and community and rescue organizations staffed booths where attendees could learn about pet adoptions, responsible ownership and care. Karen Garetano, show co-producer for Family Pet Shows, said, “The Long Island area is passionate about animals and pets of all kinds,” and added, “We always have fun at these events, but we also are strong supporters of responsible pet ownership and humane values when it comes to all issues involving animals and pets,” said Garetano. “We partner with several community organizations, shelters, veterinarians and other animal lovers educate and inform when it comes to best practices for training, feeding and all aspects of pet care.”
Exhibitor and product showcases were a major draw; organizers said the 100+ special exhibits “always feature some of the hottest new products coming out often before they hit the retail shelves.” The Family Pet Shows event page also included site sections for schedule, special attractions, exhibitors, waivers/forms, a host hotel and directions for attendees, reflecting the expo’s combination of shopping, education and on-site adoptions at the Brentwood venue.
