Relative Theatrics will stage the Wyoming premiere of FEAST. by Megan Gogerty in the Phoenix Ballroom at the Laramie Plains Civic Center Feb. 13-21, offering an immersive, dinner-party style production that pairs theatre with a communal meal and a public conversation about power and memory.

The production opens following a pay-what-you-can preview at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. Performances run at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13-14 for opening weekend and resume at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18-21. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and “This dish will be available when doors open at 7:00pm.” A post-show talkback will take place immediately following the Feb. 19 performance.

Organizers describe FEAST. as “an immersive, visceral theatre experience where mythology crashes into pop culture,” reimagining the Beowulf story “as a cautionary tale against the rising forces of authoritarianism.” Wyomingnews summarized the play’s premise: “When Agathae, an ancient magical creature disguised as a middle-aged lady, invites the audience to her dinner party, she attempts to form a truth and reconciliation committee to address the wrongs committed by our forefathers, only to discover in her grief that she may have accidentally helped to create the patriarchy.”

The production is directed by Will Bowling and Jacqueline Milburn, with Kathy Kirkaldie performing as Agathae. Costume design is by Nicole Foss, lighting design by Ben Boyd, and sound design by Alex Brown. Sean Coyle serves as Artistic Director for Relative Theatrics and Kim Lockhart is production manager. Relative Theatrics positions the work within its mission: “Relative Theatrics engages community in thoughtful, contemporary theatre, expands worldviews and connects us to collective humanity.”

Ticketing is offered on tiered pricing to broaden access: “To enhance accessibility, Relative Theatrics is offering general admission tickets at three different price points ($43/$28/$18).” The company says, “No one will be turned away for lack of funds; email executive@relativetheatrics.com for more information.” Tickets can also be requested by phone at 307-314-2334.

FEAST. is supported in part by the Wyoming Arts Council, with additional support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Wyoming Legislature, Wyoming Humanities, and City of Laramie and Albany County Community Partner funds, as well as the Albany County Recreation Board.

For Albany County residents, the production is both cultural programming and a reminder of how public events intersect with community health and equity. Shared food in a public indoor setting raises practical questions for audience members with allergies, dietary restrictions, or immune vulnerabilities; organizers provide an explicit contact for assistance and financial access. The Feb. 19 talkback offers a space for Laramie audiences to unpack themes of reconciliation, power and responsibility. For those planning to attend, purchase tickets through the presenting organization’s website, call 307-314-2334, or email executive@relativetheatrics.com to inquire about accessibility and accommodations.
